Director, Jennifer Lee’s live action debut with, ‘A Wrinkle in
Time’. She’s directed or wrote several Disney films such as ‘Wreck it Ralph’, ‘Frozen’,
‘Zootopia’, and ‘Big Hero 6’. ‘A Wrinkle in Time’, an inspirational film with
wonderful scenery and humor. This is a kids’ movie, so some things that bother
me about the film doesn’t mean it’ll bother the children since my age group isn’t
the target audience. The film helps inspire kids to accept who they are and to
stay strong in presence of negativity.
There are some scenes that scared me, and if I was younger I would
be more scared. The darker scenes scared be similar to how I was afraid of ‘Wizard
of Oz’. Since I was scared towards the end of the film, I wonder how children
react to it.
Certain things that felt off to me, one was how Charles Wallace was easily taken under control by IT. Is it to show how even though he’s
so brilliant, he’s still just a kid? Charles
Wallace knew about the Misses already so he seems more knowledgable than Meg. When
Meg reunites with her dad, I thought there would be more tension in finding her
day, but the overall relationship is between Meg and Charles Wallace as
siblings. Certain scenes can cause certain degree of dizziness depending on the
person.
‘A Wrinkle in Time’ a wonderful film that everyone can enjoy the
theme.
